Ehrlich Steinberg is pleased to present new works by Sussex-based UK artist Joseph Jones for the inaugural edition of Post-Fair in Los Angeles, CA. The fair runs February 20 - 22 2025.

Often working with composite images, Jones’ exceedingly pared back source material currently consists solely of cats and flowers. These highly detailed paintings move between photorealistic and more overtly painted outputs. The work recalls art historic portraiture whilst simultaneously being grounded in a vernacular that is synonymous with the birth of digital image making.

Jones received a BA in Fine Art Painting from University of the Arts, London in 2008, with a year at the Gerrit Reitveld Academie, Amsterdam in 2007 and received his MA in Fine Art Painting from the Royal College of Art, London in 2010. Recent solo exhibitions include Joseph Jones at The Artists Room, London, UK (2024) and Index at Roland Ross, Margate, UK (2024). Jones is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Art and Design at University of Brighton.
